How to get here

The August Krogh Institute is situated in the Northern part of Copenhagen, about 3 kilometers from the city center. Among our neighbours in Universitetsparken are the Zoological Museum and the H. C. Ørsted Institute. The Universitetsparken area (Northern campus) is close to the Panum Institute (Faculty of Health Sciences) and the University Hospital (Rigshospitalet).

Public transport

Bus connections (HT): Lines 18, 42, 43, 184 and 185 (as well as 173E, 72E and 79E during rush hours) to bus stop Universitetsparken.
Line 10 to Jagtvej.
All busses, except line 18, pass Nørreport Station (connection to suburban S-trains, and regional trains, incl. trains from Copenhagen Airport).

Arriving by car

There is easy access to the August Krogh Institute from the highway system around Copenhagen and Malmø, and good parking conditions at the institute (although now unfortunately restricted to a two hours period during daytime). When arriving from outside the Copenhagen area, follow the signs to København N (Copenhagen North). You may find it inconvenient to travel by car in the central part of Copenhagen.

For international visitors

If you arrive in Copenhagen by air, it is most convenient to take the regional train from the airport (Terminal 3) to Nørreport Station, from where you can pick up one of the busses passing the August Krogh Institute (see above under Public Transport). Regional trains leave the airport at 20 min intervals. Travelling time to Nørreport is 17 min. Trains also stop at the Central Railway Station.

Bus transport from the airport to the city center is also available. In addition, there are taxi stands at the airport (and at the Central Railway Station and Nørreport Station, should you decide to use the train for the first leg of the journey). Taxi fare from the airport to the August Krogh Institute is approximately DKK 250, and approximately DKK 100 from the Central Railway Station or Nørreport Station.

If you arrive by train to the main railway station, take any northbound S-train to Nørreport (second stop), and proceed as described above under Public Transport.  If you are on a regional train from Malmø (via Copenhagen Airport), just stay on the train until Nørreport, and proceed as above.
